Administrative Rules Docket

The Department’s Rules Docket lists all rule changes currently in process for the Iowa Department on Aging, from the time notice of the proposed rule is submitted to the Governor's Office through the date when the rule change takes effect. Complete information on all aspects of the rules in progress and rule-making documents published since July 2008 can be found on the Iowa Legislature's Rules Tracker.

Amendment to Chapter 2

The proposed amendment changes the divisions of the Department on Aging to make the rule as it relates to the Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman compliant with federal law.

Amendment to Chapter 8

The proposed amendment rescinds paragraph 8.6(10)"c" to make the rule related to the certified Long-Term Care Volunteer Ombudsman Program compliant with federal law.

Amendment to Chapter 23

The proposed amendment requires the individuals providing the services of Options Counseling to complete a training developed in partnership with the Administration for Community Living.

Amendment to Chapter 22

Amendment to Chapter 7

The proposed amendment removes the 6-month assessment requirement to review an older individual’s eligibility to receive a home-delivered meal.

Amendment to Chapter 15

The proposed amendments rescind rule 17—15.20(231) to eliminate mandatory reporter training provided by the Iowa Department on Aging.

Amendment to Chapter 21

The proposed changes will update rules relating to the provision of the service of Case Management, including updating criteria for service providers; updating the explanation of the service process and requirements; clarifying the client discharge and transfer process; updating the monitoring and follow-up process; updating the documentation necessary; and updating the records retention.
