Area Plans on Aging
Each Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is required to develop an Area Plan that describes its service delivery system for all supportive and nutrition services in its service area and addresses how the AAA will:
- Facilitate access to and utilization of all existing services; and
- Develop supportive and nutrition services effectively and efficiently to meet the needs of older individuals.
The Area Plan includes information about the AAA’s prioritized focus areas for programming; projections on the number of older Iowans and caregivers to be served in the upcoming fiscal year; governing board and advisory council membership; public input processes; and staffing.
