To celebrate and recognize the tremendous work being done in the fields of aging and disability across the State of Iowa, the Iowa Department on Aging will be hosting several educational webinars in 2018 collectively known as the Dialogue on Aging Series. These programs are free and open to the public, but are specifically designed for aging and disability professionals, caregivers and advocates. Each will focus on a particular topic and showcase the many ways talented individuals and passionate organizations in communities across Iowa are working to improve the quality of life and care for older adults and adults with disabilities.
Schedule of Events:
"Building Capacity for PACE in Iowa"
Friday, March 23, 2018 | 1-2 p.m. CT
This webinar will focus on the Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and how Iowa can develop and implement policy to expand capacity for this valuable program across the state. Participants will learn more about what PACE is, how it works, who is eligible and what the program covers. We will also discuss PACE trends in other states; why Iowa would benefit from an expanded PACE presence; existing barriers to PACE in Iowa and how to overcome them; and state and federal policies that could maximize PACE investment and growth.
