The Iowa Department on Aging is pleased to announce the next events in the 2017 Dialogue on Aging Series. "Technology In Aging: Improving the Quality of Life and Care for Older Iowans" will take place later this fall in Bettendorf and Creston.
Representatives from the University of Iowa Barbara and Richard Csomay Center for Gerontological Excellence and the Iowa State University Gerontology Program/Human Development and Family Studies Department will be discussing innovative ways that technology is being developed and used throughout Iowa to enable older adults to maintain their independence at home and fully participate in their communities. We're so excited about the content that we have asked the speakers to present twice and share the same information with audiences on opposite sides of the state.
Each event will also include a Centenarian Recognition Event over lunch, during which we will honor Iowans who will be 100 years old or more by Dec. 31, 2017.
Registration will open in August. The cost to attend will be $25 per person and include lunch and refreshments.
Sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information, please contact Erin Kurth at (800) 532-3213.
