Aging and Disability Resource Center
The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) helps older Iowans, adults with disabilities, veterans, and caregivers learn more about long-term living services and supports available throughout the state. The Center is accessible by phone at 866-468-7887 or through your local Area Agency on Aging.
Area Agencies on Aging
Under the Older Americans Act, the Iowa Department on Aging has designated six Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) to provide information and referrals to older adults, adults with disabilities, and veterans and their caregivers. AAAs coordinate a wide range of long-term living and community support services, such as case management, congregate and home-delivered meals, employment services, family caregiver services, options counseling, respite care, and transportation services.
Their expertise about programs and providers in your community will assist you in leading an independent, meaningful and dignified life in your own home and community for as long as possible.
