Volunteer Ombudsman Program
The Volunteer Ombudsman Program (VOP) was designed to assist the Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman in providing advocacy and assistance to Iowa's nursing facility residents. With a goal of having at least one Volunteer Ombudsman at every nursing facility in Iowa, the program continues to seek individuals who care deeply about the rights of older adults and adults with disabilities and wish to make a difference in their communities.
